Thank you for a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Vicente for guiding us and keeping us entertained.
The best tour I’ve done in Canada. A must do lifetime experience! The team were wonderful especially Macarena. We got to ride our own dog sled which is crazy but had so much fun!!! We went deep into Kananaskis away from all the tourists and dog sled across spray lakes. Dogs are gorgeous and well looked after, had so much time with them, really felt like good value. Remarkable - once in a lifetime experience - you have to do this!!! Thank you to the team for an unforgettable experience!
Our travel group of 4 booked the Reindeer Farm and Husky Farm tours with Wild About Lapland - they picked us up early at our Santa’s Igloo accommodations. Right from the start, our guides Macarena “Maca” and Carlos were fun, light and informative 🙂 We were travelling with a family of 3 plus a solo traveler, Raquel. The reindeer farm experience was an awesome peek into how reindeers are an essential part of the Sami life and culture. It was very informative and up close to a life in a reindeer farm. Next was the Husky farm which was more frenetic but fun - Huskies were bouncing around and stopping from time to time to eat from our hands. Macarena kept Raquel, a solo traveler, company throughout. The snow was a bonus since there was none when we arrived on Oct 28 - the night before the farm tours it snowed and made everything look great like a totally new scene. The experience was a new set of awesome memories for us. Great job Wild About Lapland and to the crew most especially the awesome Macarena 🙂👍🏽🦌🐕🇵🇭🇫🇮
Nice planned and organised small group tour. ( on the Van with Max8 people). 1. Northern lights hunting. Guide Maca was nice explaining history about northern lights, how to make fire for campfires and apps. 2. Frozen lake tour. Guide Martina was very patient and helping with pictures. They even organised this tour for two people. 3. Reindeer farm visit with sled ride. Guid Jordo was nice! Snacks at farm was good.
We had a great guide, his name was Vicentee. Knowledgable about rafting and the area . Felt safe. Very friendly.to us. Had a great time all day. Found that the 11-5:00 trip was more than enough time.
So much fun! The staff were amazing. We did the Toby Creek run at Panorama. Vicente was our guide and he was awesome! He gave us lots of information about the river and made the ride extra fun. This was our first time river rafting and probably won't be our last.
This morning Thu and I really enjoyed our first ever dogsledding ride. Hannah our guide was expert and an absolute pleasure to travel with. We learnt a lot about mushing. Our dogs, led by Shania and Pixie, were wonderful to interact with and hard-working. It was a brilliant day out. Thanks Mac also who was coordinating and everything worked like clockwork. Hope you have a great season! James and Thu Willoughby
My husband and I took the 4 hour Sunfeather Trail dog sled tour on March 14, 2026. It was on our bucket list and Snowy Owl Dog Sled Tours did not disappoint. We had a fabulous time! Our guide Macarena was absolutely awesome. We chose not to be the driver of the sled so we had Macarena as our driver as we comfortably sat in the sled. She was so good at driving the team and was so kind and knowledgeable. She is definitely an asset to the team at Snowy Owl. We opted for the campfire lunch instead of bringing our own lunch and so glad we did, delicious smokies (prepared by our guide), hot apple cider, chips and husky themed cookies made in Canmore. You can tell the dogs are well looked after and loved. The scenery in that area is breathtaking. I have lived in Alberta my whole life and it was so great to get a different perspective of just how beautiful that area is. The delicious hot apple cider and brownies at the end of the tour back at the starting point around a campfire was a very nice touch. The all the office staff are fabulous. Jody assisted wonderfully with booking us and answering all my questions. The bus driver was very skilled at driving the narrow winter roads up to the starting point. He spotted and stopped so we could see 2 moose by the river. Thanks again to everyone involved and especially the pups for the great and memorable day. We certainly ticked a box on our bucket list!
Makarena and the whole human and dog team were amazing. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime!!!!
